Full-service print provider Minuteman Press Bath recently utilized Drytac ReTac Textures Canvas film to create a vibrant wallcovering for an innovative wardrobe experience in the historic city of Bath, England.
Dubbed as the “Georgrobe,” the event invited both local residents and visitors to explore a collection of satirical prints depicting the fashion trends of the Georgian era. It also offered them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the historical period by donning authentic costumes, wigs, and hats.
Minuteman Press Bath was entrusted with the task of printing a large Bath-themed wallcovering designed by local artists Emma Taylor and Jason Dorley Brown. This wallcovering served as the backdrop for the seasonal event held at the renowned No.1 Royal Crescent in the city.
Having been a consistent user of Drytac materials since 2018, Minuteman Press Bath decided to opt for Drytac ReTac Textures Canvas, which they sourced from Antalis, to create the mural that extended from floor to ceiling.
The Georgrobe event displayed satirical prints about the fashions of the Georgian period.
The provider printed the colorful wallcovering design onto the film using their HP Latex 700W printer and successfully installed the wallcovering in time for the event’s opening day on April 1.
Kieran Blacknall, the Operations Manager at Minuteman Press Bath, explained their choice: “We selected Drytac ReTac Textures Canvas because we have had great experiences with this product. It is easy to install and performs exceptionally well. Moreover, the canvas texture adds a unique and distinguishing aspect to the media, setting it apart from traditional flat vinyl materials.”
The customer was highly pleased with the mural, and it garnered significant attention in the local press and on social media, despite only being in place for a few weeks.
