Nationwide Arena, home to the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets.
Nationwide Arena, the home of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, recently underwent a comprehensive digital signage upgrade, featuring the installation of over fifty state-of-the-art LED displays by SNA Displays. The initiative aimed to elevate the overall visitor experience and bring a modern aesthetic to the venue.
Derek Smith, the general manager for Nationwide Arena, emphasized the importance of these renovations, stating, “Nationwide Arena, host to world-class events since 2000, is in need of major renovations, and the digital displays that SNA Displays installed helps provide a more modern-looking venue to our guests and players alike.” He further highlighted the contribution of the new displays to an enhanced guest experience, aligning Nationwide Arena with the contemporary standards set by newer venues.
The project involved the integration of cutting-edge video technology, with all-new LED displays strategically placed within the bowl and above entry doors. This not only adds a modern touch but also aligns with the trend seen in new arenas, creating a visually appealing and dynamic atmosphere. Special attention was given to the team tunnel, resulting in what is now deemed the best in sports, offering greater flexibility for messaging and content.
SNA Displays, in collaboration with AJP and OSPORTS, played a crucial role in the design and implementation of the project. The successful execution of the upgrade is attributed to the effective teamwork of all involved parties.
As part of the enhancement process, SNA Displays replaced numerous static signs with their BOLD™ Interior and BRILLIANT™ Interior video displays, strategically placed throughout the arena’s bowl. Additionally, various internal rooms and corridors received new LED signage, contributing to a cohesive and immersive environment. The east and west entrances of the venue were adorned with EMPIRE™ Exterior LED displays, further enhancing the visual appeal of Nationwide Arena.
Overall, the digital signage upgrade at Nationwide Arena stands as a testament to the successful collaboration between Nationwide Arena, SNA Displays, and their partners, resulting in a modernized and technologically advanced sports and entertainment venue.

In addition to the “waterfall,” the renovation includes notable enhancements such as removable displays strategically placed in both player tunnels, providing a versatile and engaging experience for players as they exit the ice. These displays contribute to the overall atmosphere and energy of the arena, enhancing the connection between the players and the audience.
Another noteworthy addition is a wall-mounted, slim-profile LED screen utilized as a backdrop for press briefings.
